The past is gone, the future is uncertain, all we have now is this moment.

Let’s make it a good one.

Hold on to your truth and express it now when the world needs more truth to combat the steady diet of lies we’ve been fed our whole lives.

Everyone is worried about who’s racist and not racist as if it’s possible not to be tainted by the spectre of genocidal patriarchal capitalistic white mania.

We are all mired in this energy for our entire k-12 lives. Did you go to a public university named after a colonizer like I did? There is no escaping this. If the system didn’t get to you in these ways it will try everything it can to get to you in others.

It’s like any fearful thing, it must be faced for it to go away.

If we are all one and everything is everything, like the ancestors taught us and like wise singers sing, what hurts one of us hurts us all and we will never be healed until everyone is. Then that should give us all cause to care instead of being rebranded by white yoga moms as a method of spiritually bypassing racism: “We are all one, all lives matter.” That’s not very Shakti of you.

Let people say what they have to say without silencing them or controlling them now. We all have to check that inner cop that polices other people. It’s not your job to tell people they are right or wrong but to set boundaries, speak your truth and love unconditionally. If you’ve made it this far with your loved ones don’t turn away from…
